Street-WYze delivers a wide range of youth services across Batley, Dewsbury, Heckmondwike, Cleckheaton, and surrounding areas. Their programs include: detached youth work sessions (outreach in the community) ;open access generic youth sessions ;sports-based youth sessions ;outdoor learning and mentoring.
With their grant, Street-WYze have delivered a fun, free youth provision on a Friday evening from Westmoor Community Sports Hall from 5 pm to 8 pm, where children and young adults can join anytime within that window.
These sessions included active, exciting sports activities led by professional coaches — providing engaging physical exercise and educational workshops facilitated by mentors, aimed at personal development and learning.
Following feedback from local young people and their families, Street-WYze has decided to continue running their much-loved youth sessions, but with a new and more convenient time. The sessions will now take place on Saturday mornings from 9 am to 12 pm, giving children and young people the chance to drop in at any point during the morning.
