Over £700,000 awarded to community projects.

We’re a Community Foundation for the people of Kirklees.

This means we do things a little differently. We use our community connections to identify local needs through community engagement, relationship-building and collaboration.

Our impact is made possible by individual donors, philanthropic families, and local businesses who want to give back to the community.
They make a difference. We manage their grants. So that the community projects and charities we work with can have the greatest impact.

Here are some of our headlines for this year. (2021/22)

One Community plays a key leadership role, bringing about social change in collaborative and innovative ways. Ensuring grant funding reaches the communities who need it most.

This year we have delivered local grant-making programmes for a wide range of funders. Including the Arts Council and the National Lottery.

We have continued to work with government departments to deliver significant national programmes which support the growth and development of local communities. Including the #iWill campaign, funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) which sought to make social action part of everyday life for as many 10 to 20-year-olds as possible.

We have strengthened our partnership with the Local Authority, offering expert grant making services for programmes such as the Household Support Fund.

Do you want to make change where it matters.

Helping your community can be daunting. You don’t know where to start, who to help, or how your donation is used. We’re here to change that.

We’re One Community, a specialist team of local experts who put donations to work through a growing network of over 2,500 Kirklees-based charities and community organisations. We’re proudly independent. On a mission to do good. Using our community connections to make sure every donation makes the most impact.

How we work

• Explore your area of interest to pinpoint the right community activity for you.

• Assign and manage your donation to make sure it reaches those who need it most.

• Let you know who it’s helped and how every pound is spent.
