Huddersfield Town Foundation

The Huddersfield Town Foundation strives to use the power of their Football Club to engage, inspire and have a positive impact in their local community.

Their main areas of focus are: Learning & Education, Health & Healthy Behaviours, Safe Spaces & Places and Movement & Activity. The Foundation has proudly facilitated 41 Early Kick Off breakfast clubs across the region and has served well over 2.5 million breakfasts to local children since 2012.

Huddersfield Town Foundation used the two grants awarded to work with students from Westborough High School &  St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy. They provided a mentoring service which complemented existing pastoral support and delivered a structured programme combining physical activity with life skills and leadership development. HTAFC have already held a ‘Kicks’ session at St John Fishers Sports for ages 11-16 so this programme has enabled them to deepen relationships with local young people through one-on-one mentoring, group workshops and youth work provisions. The sessions focused on behaviour, building confidence, resilience, mental health and communication.
