The Judith and Neil Charlesworth Fund supported the Oakes Community Café with a community grant of £357. This helped them kit out their facilities and feed even more people.

The Hanging Heaton Luncheon Club received a grant of £240 from our Surviving Winter appeal. This helped a dedicated group of 36 volunteers buy new pans, so they could continue to serve the community.

During the pandemic, the Moonlight Trust received a grant of £10,000. This enabled them to support people across Dewsbury, Batley and Heckmondwyke with essential food packs, hot meals and care packages. They were also able to offer home deliveries for the elderly, registered disabled, single mums, homeless, and those self-isolating.

We awarded over 180 grants totalling over £500,000 to local charities and community organisations across Kirklees, supporting 253,045 people who relied on them throughout the pandemic.
