Dewsbury Dragons is a community group run by local parents and carers, who saw a need for more inclusive activities for children and young people with complex needs in Dewsbury Moor. Building off the positive impact of OmnisCircumvado, they decided to set up and run their own fully inclusive and adapted multi sports club, so that this service would be available an extra day per week.
Dewsbury Dragons used the grant they received from the Dewsbury Moor Fund to provide their free sports club every Wednesday at Westmoor Community Sports Hall. This organisation knows sports should be accessible to everyone and their hard work ensures that it is. Moving forward, they will be trialing their sessions as a holiday club, continuing to make sure that local children with additional needs have somewhere tailored to them.
