the Community Foundation for the people of Kirklees.
Local donor Stephen has a wide interest in community activities, and set up his fund to support voluntary activities throughout Kirklees.
Berry Brow AFC (pictured top left) received £1,000 to help them convert a former shipping container into changing rooms, with showers and a toilet. Trinity Methodist Church Fartown (above right), also received £1,000 to help with the refurbishment of their community room, which is utilised to deliver free lessons in English for 'Speakers of Other Languages', (ESOL).
You can apply for up to £1,000. Applications are invited for project, equipment expenditure and operating costs. To make an application, scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on the 'apply now button', and follow the on-screen instructions. (Do not delete your registration email, as this contains a link to your application form, and will enable you to go back and complete details at a later stage, if you require).
See below for the fund application deadlines. Please be aware that it can take up to 3 months before you receive any funding, so please schedule your project accordingly. ALL supporting documents must be received with your application - either by post, or attached with the online application form.
One Community makes grants to a wide range of organisations. The Foundation is particularly keen to help grassroots community groups, and small-to-medium-sized voluntary organisations, and priority will be given to these groups. We do not normally make grants to large local, regional and national charities. If in doubt whether your application can be considered, please contact us: (01484) 468397.
If you have no computer knowledge and would prefer a paper application form, please conatct us (01484) 468397.
